The Audit Process - A Two Way Street

Ever wondered what the audit process is all about?

Do you have any influence over the process and the audit fees?

Why do funders request audited statements?

If these are questions that you have asked about your annual audit, this session may be for you.  The session will discuss the process and the roles and responsibilities of the board, management and the auditor. This session would be most beneficial to treasurers and Executive Directors who handle the audit process.

Spend 1.5 hours working and having your questions answered about the audit process with expert Betty Thompson.

Betty Thompson, FCGA, is a partner with the accounting firm of Lo Porter Hetu in Calagary.  Betty has focused her audit and financial management services on not-for-profit organizations.  She presents a variety of seminars on financial, governance and related topics to not-for-profit audiences across Canada.

In a volunteer capacity, Betty serves as Vice-Chair, Finance, on the Board of Directors of the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations. Betty has also been appointed to the Calgary Housing Company board and at a national level, Betty has been appointed to the Technical Issues Working Group with the Charities Directorate in Ottawa.
